Meli  Hi, I'm Meli
    Summer is never very far away, and with it comes BIKINI season! For my theme song I have chosen: "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini". It was written, sung, and became a number one hit for Brian Hyland in 1960 while he was still a sophomore in HIGH SCHOOL! Brian's other two hit songs were "Sealed With a Kiss" and "Gypsy Woman". If you don't remember "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" or if you never heard it before, the melody should be playing in the background and the words are as follows:

She was afraid to come out of the locker;
She was as nervous as she could be;
She was afraid to come out of the locker;
She was afraid that somebody would see.
Hiding behind the locker
One, two, three, four, tell the people what she wore.

It was an itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini
That she wore for the first time today,
An itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini,
So, in the locker she wanted to stay.

One, two, three, four, stick around we'll tell you more.

She was afraid to come out in the open,
And so a blanket around her she wore;
She was afraid to come out in the open,
And so she sat bundled up on the shore.

Bundled up in the blanket

One, two, three, four, tell the people what she wore.

It was an itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini
That she wore for the first time today,
An itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini
So, in the blanket she wanted to stay.

One, two, three, four, stick around we'll tell you more.

Now she's afraid to come out of the water,
And I wonder what she's gonna do.
Now she's afraid to come out of the water,
And the poor little girl's turnin' blue!

One, two, three, four, tell the people what she wore.

It was an itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini
That she wore for the first time today,
An itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini
So, in the water she wanted to stay.

From the locker to the blanket,
From the blanket to the shore,
From the shore to the water,
Guess there isn't any more!

BRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

    Now comes the dilemma!! If the bathing suit in question is a YELLOW POLKA DOT bikini, meaning that the polka dots are yellow, then what color is the SUIT? If it is a YELLOW polka dot BIKINI, meaning that the SUIT is yellow, then what color are the POLKA DOTS?
    Your opinion was sought because this page could not be properly illustrated until this problem was solved! The final color scheme was decided by consensus of opinion with perhaps a little artistic license by the illustrator.
